International Stock
International stock funds invest in countries other than the United States. Most funds invest primarily in the developed markets of Western Europe and Japan, and allow limited exposure to the emerging markets. Currently the average foreign fund has 44% of assets invested in the European region, while 20% is committed to Japan and 19% to Great Britain.
